How does Tranthor compare to Postscript?

Tranthor finds moments and drafts campaigns; Postscript is an SMS-first, AI-led retention platform for Shopify.

Postscript is an SMS marketing platform for Shopify brands, with flows, campaigns, list growth tools, and a set of AI products called Brand Center, Infinity Testing, and Shopper. It is adding RCS and email, both in phased access. Tranthor is an autonomous CRM for ecommerce retention: it finds the customer moment, drafts the campaign, and sends within limits you approve. Both use AI to decide what a customer hears next. They differ in channels, in where control sits, and in how results are measured.

This comparison uses Postscript's website, pricing page, Shopify App Store listing, and help center as read in October 2026, plus what Tranthor ships today. Where something is not documented, we say so instead of assuming it is missing.

Where Postscript is strong

Postscript is a deep SMS tool for Shopify brands, and its AI goes further than copy help. Its documentation supports these strengths.

Where Tranthor works differently

Postscript documents an autonomous send loop. Shopper Automations replaces your core automation flows for a test group of subscribers and writes each message itself. Your controls come before and around it: Brand Center inputs, sample messages you review before going live, and an audience split that starts at 50/50 and can then be set between 20% and 80%. It works on SMS and RCS today, and Shopper Campaigns is in alpha.

Tranthor starts from the customer moment across email, SMS, and WhatsApp. It watches orders, repeat-purchase timing, lapse risk, and customer value, drafts the audience, message, timing, and offer, and sends within limits you approve. Every Tranthor playbook starts in review, and the first run always drafts for approval. After one approved run you can switch it to auto-send within limits you approve, and later to fully autonomous. Limits you approve are enforced at send time: contact frequency, spacing, a daily send cap, a discount cap, and allowlists for channels, senders, and segments.

How each tool measures results

Postscript credits SMS with sales from a 7-day click window and a 24-hour view window by default, and both windows can be changed. Orders that use a Postscript coupon count as SMS revenue even outside the window. For its AI products it documents controlled tests: Shopper Automations runs a test group against a control group on your existing flows and reports revenue per subscriber lift, and Infinity Testing compares message variants against a control.

Tranthor reports lift where you configure a holdout. A random group is held back and compared with the group that received the campaign, and it needs 100 customers in each group before it shows a result. Holdouts are opt-in, so lift is not measured on every send.

Channels and Arabic

Postscript sends SMS and MMS. RCS is rolling out in phases, starting with early access for select brands, and email is onboarding brands in cohorts from a waitlist. WhatsApp is not documented. Its help center says MMS is not supported outside the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico, and lists international SMS at $0.25 per message on self-serve plans. Tranthor sends email, SMS and WhatsApp, in journeys and in autonomous sends.

For Arabic, Postscript's Shopify listing names English as the app's language, and Arabic or right-to-left message support is not documented. Tranthor email templates carry per-language variants with right-to-left rendering for Arabic.
