Omnisend is an email, SMS, and web push marketing tool for ecommerce brands, with a library of prebuilt workflows and a free plan. Tranthor is an autonomous CRM for ecommerce retention: it finds the customer moment, drafts the campaign, and sends within limits you approve. Both help a store bring customers back. They differ in who does the operating work.
This comparison uses Omnisend's public pricing page, help center, and release notes as read in October 2026, plus what Tranthor ships today. Where something is not documented, we say so instead of assuming it is missing.

Where Omnisend is strong
Omnisend is a capable tool for a team that wants to build and run its own flows. Its documentation supports these strengths.
- Email, SMS, and web push in one workflow tool, with prebuilt workflows for welcome, abandoned cart and checkout, browse abandonment, post-purchase, and birthdays.
- A free plan, and chat and email support around the clock on every plan, including Free.
- A broad assistant surface: AI writing tools, an agent that builds segments from a prompt and answers report questions, and an MCP server that lets assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT work with your account after you authorize them.
- Native integrations with Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, WordPress, Wix, and others.
Where Tranthor works differently
Omnisend's AI tools assist and recommend: they write copy, build segments, answer report questions, and suggest changes that you apply. We did not find a documented autonomous send loop. Tranthor starts from the customer moment instead. It watches orders, repeat-purchase timing, lapse risk, and customer value, drafts the audience, message, timing, and offer, and sends within limits you approve.
Every Tranthor playbook starts in review, and the first run always drafts for approval. After one approved run you can switch it to auto-send within limits you approve, and later to fully autonomous. Limits you approve are enforced at send time: contact frequency, spacing, a daily send cap, a discount cap, and allowlists for channels, senders, and segments.
How each tool measures results
Omnisend attributes a sale only when the customer engages with a message: an open or click for email and push, a click for SMS. The default windows are 7 days for email and 24 hours for SMS and push, and the last engaged message gets the credit. Holdout or incrementality testing is not documented.
Tranthor reports lift where you configure a holdout. A random group is held back and compared with the group that received the campaign, and it needs 100 customers in each group before it shows a result. Holdouts are opt-in, so lift is not measured on every send.
Channels and Arabic
Omnisend supports email, SMS, and web push. Its own August 2026 blog says it does not support WhatsApp natively. Tranthor runs WhatsApp in journeys, and autonomous sends use email and SMS today.
For Arabic, Omnisend's help center says its platform does not natively render right-to-left text, and that custom styling can help with some formatting issues. Tranthor message templates carry language variants, flag right-to-left locales such as Arabic, and the email agent writes those variants with right-to-left conventions.
When Omnisend is the better fit

- You want email, SMS, and web push in one tool, with a free plan to start.
- Your store runs on WooCommerce, BigCommerce, or another platform Omnisend connects to natively. Tranthor works with Shopify and Segment today.
When Tranthor is the better fit
- You are a lean DTC brand with no one to operate retention day to day.
- You want approval-first autonomy, with approved limits enforced at send time.
- You send in Arabic and want the email agent to write the right-to-left variants for you.
- You want WhatsApp in your journeys alongside email and SMS.
