How does Tranthor compare to Attentive?

Tranthor finds moments and drafts campaigns; Attentive is an AI-powered SMS, email, RCS and push platform.

Attentive is an AI-powered marketing platform for SMS, email, RCS, and push, built for retail and ecommerce brands and also sold to food and beverage, travel, fitness, and media businesses. It pairs a messaging platform with paid AI products and a strategy and support team. Tranthor is an autonomous CRM for ecommerce retention: it finds the customer moment, drafts the campaign, and sends within limits you approve. Both help a store bring customers back. They differ in who does the operating work and how results are measured.

This comparison uses Attentive's website, pricing page, Shopify App Store listing, developer documentation, and blog as read in October 2026, plus what Tranthor ships today. Attentive's help center blocked our requests, so we did not rely on it. Where something is not documented, we say so instead of assuming it is missing.

Where Attentive is strong

Attentive is a broad platform with deep SMS roots and a growing AI layer. Its own pages support these strengths.

Where Tranthor works differently

Attentive's AI works inside programs your team sets up. AI Journeys adapts the timing, frequency, products, and offers of triggered messages for each shopper, with built-in controls to keep messages on brand. AI Campaigns recommends campaigns that fit your calendar, and you choose which ones to send. Its MCP server drafts work for you to review before anything goes live. We did not find a documented loop where Attentive picks a new retention play and sends it on its own.

Tranthor starts from the customer moment instead. It watches orders, repeat-purchase timing, lapse risk, and customer value, drafts the audience, message, timing, and offer, and sends within limits you approve. Every Tranthor playbook starts in review, and the first run always drafts for approval. After one approved run you can switch it to auto-send within limits you approve, and later to fully autonomous. Limits you approve are enforced at send time: contact frequency, spacing, a daily send cap, a discount cap, and allowlists for channels, senders, and segments.

How each tool measures results

Attentive's blog describes last-known touch attribution: a purchase is credited to the last message a subscriber viewed or clicked within a window. The stated defaults are a 5-day click and 1-day view window for SMS, and a 5-day click and 5-day view window for email, and windows can be adjusted or limited to clicks. A built-in holdout or incrementality feature is not documented in the pages we read, though an Attentive case study describes a brand running its own quarterly test against a control group that received no texts.

Tranthor reports lift where you configure a holdout. A random group is held back and compared with the group that received the campaign, and it needs 100 customers in each group before it shows a result. Holdouts are opt-in, so lift is not measured on every send.

Channels and Arabic

Attentive sends SMS, MMS, RCS, email, and push, the channels its pricing page lists for its full package. WhatsApp is not documented. Tranthor sends email, SMS and WhatsApp, in journeys and in autonomous sends.

For Arabic, Attentive's international page says it supports multiple languages across 20+ countries in the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific, and its Shopify listing names English as the app's language. Arabic and right-to-left support are not documented. Tranthor email templates carry per-language variants with right-to-left rendering for Arabic.
