Introducing Tranthor: The Autonomous CRM for Ecommerce Retention
Tranthor is an autonomous CRM for ecommerce retention. It finds the repeat-purchase moment, drafts the campaign, and sends within limits you approve.

Tranthor is an autonomous CRM for ecommerce retention. It watches your store's orders, finds the moment a customer is ready to buy again, drafts the campaign, and sends it inside limits you approve. Every playbook starts in review, and you decide when it earns more freedom.
This is not a new feature on top of a flow builder. It is a different starting point for retention software. Most tools wait for a person to open a canvas or prompt an assistant. Tranthor starts from the customer.
Quick Answer
An autonomous CRM does the operating work of retention itself: it finds the customer moment, drafts the campaign, and sends within limits you approve. In Tranthor, autonomous means governed. Each playbook has a dial with three settings (review every send, auto-send within limits, fully autonomous), and the owner moves it.

The Problem: You Are the Operator
Retention work decays when nobody has time to run it. Flows go stale. Segments drift out of date. A first-time buyer goes quiet in week three, and nobody notices because the campaign calendar is full of launches.
The brands that feel this most are small and mid-sized DTC brands, where the owner or one lifecycle lead is also running ads, inventory, and support. Adding an AI assistant to a flow builder helps with drafting, but a person still has to decide what to build and when. The operator is still the bottleneck.
Tranthor's bet is that the CRM should do the operating.
1. Start From the Customer Moment
A retention campaign is a response to something a customer did, or stopped doing: a first order, a repeat purchase that has not happened yet, a lapse, a high-value buyer going quiet.
Here is an illustration, not a customer result. Say a coffee brand's buyers usually reorder after about three weeks. In a flow-builder CRM, someone has to spot that window, build the segment, write the message, and set the timing. In Tranthor, the agent works from order data, notices the repeat-purchase window, and drafts the audience, message, timing, and offer. You get a draft to review instead of a blank canvas.
Tranthor watches four kinds of signal: orders, repeat-purchase timing, lapse risk, and customer value. If you want the metrics behind these moments, start with second purchase and the second purchase campaign guide for Shopify.
2. The Autonomy Dial
Every playbook has three levels of control, and you decide when each one moves.
| Level | What happens | Who decides |
|---|---|---|
| Review | Tranthor drafts. You approve, edit, or request changes before every send. | You, every time |
| Auto-send | After one approved run, the playbook sends on its own within limits you approve. | You, once |
| Autonomous | Tranthor finds moments, drafts, and sends within limits you approve without you in the loop. | You turn it on, and you can pause any playbook |
Three rules sit under the dial:
- The first run of any playbook always drafts for approval.
- Auto-send is off by default, and it is disabled while your store has blocking readiness issues.
- Fully autonomous is an option you choose. It is never the starting state.
3. You Set the Limits
Autonomy only works if approved limits are enforced at send time. Your approved limits apply to every autonomous send Tranthor makes.
| Limit | What it controls |
|---|---|
| Contact frequency | Caps marketing contacts per customer per week |
| Contact spacing | Sets the minimum hours between contacts |
| Daily send cap | Puts a ceiling on workspace sends per day |
| Discount cap | Checks declared offers against the percentage you approve |
| Channel, sender, and segment allowlists | Control where Tranthor can send and to whom |
| Brand kit | Guides message tone, with colors and fonts applied where the format supports them |
Tranthor also respects subscriptions and unsubscribes before it sends. Consent rules depend on your market and on how you collect opt-in, so check them for the regions you sell in. For the Gulf, see WhatsApp marketing rules in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
4. Channels
You choose which channels and senders may send. Tranthor drafts for the one that fits the audience.
| Channel | Status today |
|---|---|
| In the autonomous path | |
| SMS | In the autonomous path |
| Live in journeys. Autonomous sends are coming, and WhatsApp needs pre-approved templates | |
| Webhooks | In journeys |
5. Your Data
Tranthor connects to the tools your store already uses. Shopify and Segment are data sources, and HubSpot is a destination for segments and engagement logs. Tranthor reads your data layer. It does not replace your store.
How This Differs From Flow-Builder CRMs
Flow builders are strong tools, and many brands run them well. The difference is who does the operating.
| Flow-builder CRMs (Klaviyo, Customer.io, Iterable, Braze) | Tranthor | |
|---|---|---|
| Who starts the work | You, or your AI assistant driving the tool | Tranthor finds the moment |
| What the AI does | Drafts or builds when asked | Drafts and sends within limits |
| Control | Whatever you configure | Review, auto-send, or autonomous per playbook, with limits you approve |
| Fit | Teams with someone to operate it | Lean brands without a CRM team |
Other CRMs are not standing still. As of October 2026, Klaviyo, Customer.io, Iterable (in beta), Omnisend, ActiveCampaign, and Bird have each released an MCP server, which lets an AI assistant operate them. Klaviyo's Composer and ActiveCampaign's Active Intelligence also draft campaigns from a prompt for you to review. That is useful. Tranthor starts from a different place: the customer moment it finds in your order data. Braze also sells autonomous decisioning to large enterprises, and Tranthor is built for brands that do not have that team or contract.
We do not claim parity or migration with any of them. For direct, source-based comparisons, see all comparisons, Tranthor vs Klaviyo, and the guide to Klaviyo alternatives for Shopify brands.
What Is Not Live Yet
- Autonomous WhatsApp sends. WhatsApp runs in journeys today. Autonomous sends use email and SMS.
- Lift on every send. Where you configure a holdout, Tranthor holds back a random group and compares it with the group that received the campaign. It needs 100 customers in each group before it shows a result, and it reports the difference only. It is not applied to every autonomous send by default.
Who It Is For
Tranthor is built for DTC ecommerce brands, not marketplace sellers, and for two kinds of people:
- Founders and owners whose retention slips while they run ads, inventory, and support. Tranthor finds the moment, drafts the play, and sends within limits you approve, so retention keeps moving without another hire.
- Lifecycle or CRM leads on lean teams whose campaign ideas outnumber the hours available to build them. Agents surface the customers and draft the next test, and you approve it or let it run.

Frequently asked questions
What is an autonomous CRM?
An autonomous CRM does the operating work itself instead of waiting for a person to build it. It finds the customer moment, drafts the campaign, and sends within limits the owner sets. In Tranthor, autonomy is governed: every playbook starts in review, and the owner decides when it goes further.
Will Tranthor send to my customers without my permission?
Not by default. Every playbook starts in review, and the first run always drafts for approval. After one approved run you can switch a playbook to auto-send within limits you approve, and later to fully autonomous. You can pause any playbook at any time.
What limits can I set?
You can set contact frequency, contact spacing, a daily send cap, and a discount cap, plus allowlists for channels, senders, and segments. Approved limits apply to every autonomous send. Tranthor also respects subscriptions and unsubscribes before it sends.
Is Tranthor just another AI flow builder?
No. A flow builder waits for someone to design the canvas or prompt the assistant. Tranthor starts from the customer moment: it watches orders, repeat-purchase timing, lapse risk, and customer value, then drafts the campaign for you to review.
Which channels does Tranthor support?
Email, SMS, and WhatsApp, where connected and configured. Autonomous sends use email and SMS today. WhatsApp is live in journeys, and autonomous WhatsApp sends are not live yet because WhatsApp needs pre-approved templates.
Is Tranthor a Klaviyo alternative?
For brands that want retention run for them rather than built by them, yes. Tranthor does not claim migration or feature parity with Klaviyo, and it does not sit on top of it. The comparison pages explain where each tool fits.
How fast can I start?
Connect your Shopify store and Tranthor can start finding moments and drafting campaigns for your review. Other store platforms are set up differently, so check the setup steps for yours.
